About PDFOrchard

We build small, focused tools that do one job well.

PDFOrchard started from a simple frustration: the fastest way to merge two PDFs or knock a few megabytes off a file shouldn't require installing a desktop program or uploading a personal document to an unfamiliar website. Modern web browsers are powerful enough to do this work directly on your own device, so that's what we built.

What we do

We maintain ten PDF utilities covering the everyday jobs people run into most: merging, splitting, reorganizing, and rotating pages, plus converting, compressing, watermarking, numbering, and password-protecting documents. Every tool runs client-side, using open-source JavaScript libraries, directly in the browser tab you're already looking at.

Why privacy matters to us

A lot of PDFs contain sensitive information: signed contracts, financial statements, medical paperwork, school records. We didn't want to ask anyone to trust a server they've never heard of with that kind of material, so we designed the site so that trust question never has to come up — your file is read by your own browser and never leaves your device.

Who's behind this

PDFOrchard is maintained by a small team of web developers who use these exact tools in our own work. We keep the tool list short and focused rather than chasing every possible PDF feature, so that each tool stays fast, simple, and reliable.
